Stapley & Co. Solicitors - history - Established almost 60 years

Ian Daniel Bentley Mothew is an English lawyer (Solicitor), and the sole proprietor of Stapley & Co., a firm of Solicitors (which he joined in 1997 and took over in April 2015 from his father Tony Mothew, who presently remains with the firm in a consultative capacity. The firm was started in 1956 by George Stapley (then the clerk to an East London Magistrates Court) and the firm still bears his name. Tony Mothew joined Mr Stapley in 1966 after working for a few years in a Solicitors office adjacent to the Royal Courts of Justice in The Strand, London. When George Stapley (now deceased) retired in April 1970, control of the firm passed to Tony Mothew; now the next generation continues the traditions of this long established family High Street practice. ) . .
